Do you hold a recognised swim teacher qualification?

Would you like to teach children to swim in Central Vietnam?

We are looking for volunteer swim teachers to work on the program in 2009.

2 volunteers to work from 1st March – 30th April
3 volunteers to work from 1st May – 30th June
3 or 4 volunteers to work from 1st July – 31st August. 

These would be the proposed dates for classes.  It would be best for the volunteers to arrive a bit earlier to acclimatize etc.

Volunteers would work with the local swim teachers. Teaching hours would be 3-4 hours per day.  There would also be some light administrative duties such as preparing teaching plans, updating attendance sheets and children’s records of achievements. Accommodation and working visas would be provided.  All other expenses would be paid by the volunteer.

Volunteers should hold a recognised swim teacher qualification and an up to date CPR certification.  They should be enthusiastic, have a good rapport with children and be keen to live and work in a foreign environment.

This would be a fantastic experience for someone who wants to use their teaching skills in a charitable setting.  Hoi An is a beautiful world heritage site in Central Vietnam. The children are wonderful to work with and are very enthusiastic about their opportunity to learn to swim.  The local people are very welcoming and appreciative of the assistance we are giving to their community.
