Donations

The program does not receive any government funding so it relies on the generosity of organisations and individuals to provide much needed support.  Here are some examples of how your money could help.

US$20 puts one child through the entire program. US$300 sponsors a whole class.
US$1,000 provides a teacher training course for 30 swim teachers.
US$10,000 builds an above ground temporary swimming pool.
US$40,000 builds a permanent swimming pool.

Fund Raising

Many children have been assisted by money which has been raised by people around the world who have donated their time to help organise fund raising events and donated the proceeds to the swimming program.  We are extremely grateful to those people who have supported us and been so generous with their time. 

Volunteers

Do you hold a recognised swim teacher qualification? Do you have the ability to train others to teach swimming and water safety? You should be enthusiastic, have a good rapport with children and be keen to live and work in a foreign environment. Please note that for all successful applicants, we will request a police report from your home country in order to ensure your suitability to work with children.
Other useful skills would be website design, knowledge of swimming pool design.
